Self Talk, Parallel Talk and Commenting are all simple yet highly effective strategies for modeling language and exposing your little ones to language concepts and vocabulary. What it comes down to is.... talk, talk, talk! Talk with your children, not at them. Engage in conversation and incorporate language into every part of your day.
